Henrietta (Hetty) Grace Phillips
Bookkeeper

Henrietta “Hetty” Grace Phillips serves as the Bookkeeper for Miami Family Law Group, playing a vital role in managing payroll and ensuring the accuracy of client invoices. Beyond her bookkeeping responsibilities, she contributes to various administrative functions, helping to maintain the firm’s financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Before joining the firm, Hetty dedicated 49 years to education as a teacher in Portsmouth, Ohio, a small town along the Ohio River. Coming from a family of five sisters, she was the first to follow in her mother’s footsteps, pursuing a career in teaching—a path that later inspired three of her younger sisters to enter the education field as well.
Throughout her career, Hetty taught children from preschool through Grade 6, leaving a lasting impact on generations of students.
While she is proud of her professional accomplishments, Hetty considers her greatest achievement to be raising her three children:
- Emily, attorney and the founder of Miami Family Law Group
- Amanda, who holds a Master’s degree in Intervention Specialty
- Matthew, a doctor and the director of six Urgent Care offices in Portsmouth, Ohio, and the surrounding area
Hetty’s greatest joy is spending time with her beloved granddaughter, Mia, whom she describes as the love of her life.
As a valued member of Miami Family Law Group, Hetty takes pride in working alongside a team of dedicated attorneys, paralegals, and staff, all committed to serving clients with integrity and compassion. She is especially proud of Emily’s leadership, values, and dedication, and considers it an honor to be part of a firm that upholds such strong principles in legal advocacy.
