Jenny Consuegra
Associate
Jenny Consuegra is Cuban and speaks both English and Spanish. A fun fact about her is that she came to the US in 1980 on the Mariel Boatlift. Jenny has always been curious and investigative even as a child. She loved to stand up for classmates when they were getting scolded by teachers, which led her to get into trouble. At 12, she would watch Matlock reruns on television after school and realized how she wanted to help people in difficult situations.
Since that time, Jenny attended Florida International University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature (because even though she knew “political science” was the degree most attorneys obtained, she would rather read about Shakespeare and Mark Twain than politics). She then attended Loyola University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in Common Law with a Certificate in Civil Law. Although she thoroughly enjoyed the culture and mix of small-town charm with the big-city nightlife of New Orleans, Jenny was anxious to return to her hometown of Miami after graduating, where she still resides now.
Jenny has been a practicing attorney in South Florida for over 15 years. She is happy to say that she has found her calling representing families during some of the most trying times of their lives. She is happy to be able to use her knowledge, strong moral compass, and empathy to help guide her clients through the rough waters of divorce, paternity disputes, and child support claims.
